The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, D.C., USA, released its June 2018 U.S. Boxboard Report this week, showing that total boxboard production increased 3.6% compared with June 2017 and decreased 3.1% from last month (May 2018).

Unbleached kraft boxboard production increased over the same month a year ago but decreased compared with last month. Total solid bleached boxboard & liner production increased when compared with June 2017 but decreased compared with last month. 

At the close of the second quarter, all boxboard sectors—unbleached kraft boxboard, solid bleached boxboard & liner, and recycled boxboard—enjoyed a higher operating rate compared with last year.
