Lab to Life Saving: Commercialization Path for Technical Nonwoven Wipes

Nonwovens wipe technology transitions from the lab to the field to help protect first responders and the military.

Our first responders and military personnel have dedicated themselves to protecting us even if it means endangering their own lives. These heroes rely on protective equipment to help them stay safe while performing in the line of duty. As new technologies are developed, better and safer equipment becomes available.

Nonwovens wipe technology is one example of how new innovations are saving lives. This year at NETInc (Innovative Nonwovens Conference), Amit Kapoor, president of First Line Technology, will share how a unique nonwovens technology is helping protect both the military and first responders. Kapoor will also highlight how they worked with university and government research labs to transition this new technology from the lab to commercialization. Attendees can witness Mr. Kapoor’s presentation, "Lab to Life Saving: Commercialization Path for Technical Nonwovens Wipes for Military and First Responders," on Tuesday, April 17 from 1:30pm- 3:00pm.

In less than two weeks, nonwovens professionals from around the world will gather in Charlotte, NC for NETInc 2018. Co-located with TAPPI’s PaperCon 2018, NETInc will be held from April 15 - 18, 2018. Registration is still open and individuals are encouraged to register as soon as possible as many of the special events have limited space and are filling up quickly. Mills have the opportunity to take advantage of special discounts. Register today.

NETInc is the only nonwovens technical conference developed by engineers and technologists to help individuals understand the science and how it impacts that market. For more information, visit NETIncEvent.org or email Ben Hopper or call 770-209-7248.
