Farnell Packaging Purchases Laserlox Anilox Cleaning System

Farnell Packaging Ltd., Dartmouth, N.S., Canada, has invested in a Laserlox™ Anilox Roll Cleaning System from Eaglewood Technologies, Minneapolis, Minn. Farnell chose the Laserlox SXL 65 with Smart Technology by Sitexco.

The team at Farnell chose Laserlox as part of its sustainability initiative to replace the plant’s liquid cleaning operation with an environmental solution.

David Storey, printing supervisor at Farnell, provides this account of the company’s decision: "After testing various types of anilox cleaners and different brands of laser systems, the Laserlox system is the only system that gave our rolls the deep clean we were looking for. The low power use and no consumables fit very well with our company sustainability goals. We previously utilized ultrasonic anilox cleaning but it did not yield the results we needed to consistently produce the images our clients had come to expect from us. We tested other types but found this laser cleaner to do the best job. We are able to use older aniloxes for colors they could not previously attain since they were new."

Laserlox systems use the most advanced laser technology combined with a cutting edge software package. They provide proven, tested results. Eaglewood Tech offers a sustainable anilox cleaning solution for all segments of flexography.
