Feeser to Retire as President of Superior Technical Ceramics

The Board of Directors of Superior Technical Ceramics (STC), St. Albans, Vt., USA, this week announced that John Goodrich has been named president, effective Oct. 1, 2017. He will take up the role as Richard Feeser embraces retirement, having served a distinguished 32-year career with Superior Technical Ceramics.

Throughout his more than 40 years of service in the ceramics industry, the last 32 of which he spent at STC, Feeser has shown a passion for driving ever higher levels of customer satisfaction and has been instrumental in developing innovative and profitable new product lines. Critically, he provided a well managed transition in leadership following the death of the company's founder. He has achieved all of this while respecting the firm's employees, valued suppliers, and ultimately, STC customers, who remain the firm's lifeblood.

Goodrich, who has previous experience at STC through serving on the company's board, will now take on the responsibility of president. This will allow STC to benefit from his 37 years of experience in the technical manufacturing industry where he has held international positions for Weidmann Electrical Technology, a global firm headquartered in Switzerland. John, who is a Vermont resident, has led the combined North and South American operations for Weidmann from the region's largest plant, based in St. Johnsbury, Vt.

A prepared statement from the board of directors read: "We're happy for Richard as he embraces his well-earned retirement, but are pleased he will continue to provide his experience, guidance, and expertise to our board and officers. We also appreciate that he has agreed to continue to represent STC in its leadership roles at the AACCM and the Ceramic and Glass Industry Foundation."

STC looks forward to affecting a smooth transition between these seasoned industry veterans, continuing to strengthen its position as an innovative, customer-centric firm providing unique and technically complex products to the world's most discerning and exacting manufacturers.
