Sulzer Appoints Mugford Head of Electro Mechanical Services

Jim Mugford has been appointed president and global head of Sulzer’s (Switzerland) electromechanical services business. Jim will be responsible for driving Sulzer’s strategy, growth, and profitability for electromechanical services worldwide and creating synergies with the company’s turbo services and pump services businesses.

Having joined Sulzer in 2012, Mugford has restructured and improved the company’s Canadian turbo and pump services operations, grown the U.S. electromechanical business, and restructured and integrated the North American pump services business into Sulzer’s Rotating Equipment Services division.

"Sulzer is all about being faster, more responsive, and closer to our customers," said Mugford. "We deliver a high degree of knowledge and skill regarding machinery failure diagnostics and repair. By working collaboratively with customers to solve their problems and learning from different scenarios, we aim to offer the most comprehensive service."

At the end of the day, customers are looking for service providers who possess the expertise, tools, and technology to make sure their machines are running reliably, efficiently, and cost effectively and we will deliver on this promise."
