Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury Launches the Standup Pouch

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury (formerly Chadwicks), Amsterdam, The Netherlands, has introduced standup pouches to its flexible packaging product portfolio.

Produced at the company's sister site in Grootegast in the Netherlands, the range includes retortable, microwaveable, and non-retortable standup pouch packaging suitable for many sectors including food and beverage, dairy, home, and personal care.

The pouches are available in different shapes and sizes and various innovative features are available such as laser perforation for easy opening; mechanical reclose, such as Velcro zippers; handlegrips for easy handling, and modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) technology for extended product shelf life.

Standup pouches offer a lightweight, convenient, durable, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional packaging such as glass jars and aluminum cans. The option of all round print, together with high quality, multi-color print options, means better branding and shelf appeal. They provide better food preservation properties and extended shelf-life, supporting the drive to reduce food waste.

Chris Button, Group Sales Manager for Flexibles at Clondalkin Flexible Packaging, said that "we're delighted to be able to offer standup pouches to our U.K. customer base. More and more brands are turning to flexible packaging solutions such as stand up pouches, which offer sustainable, user friendly solutions as well as food protection and extended shelf life. We're seeing growing demand for our retort pouches and pouches that feature modified atmosphere packaging technology (MAP), both of which offer extended product shelf life."

Clondalkin Flexible Packaging Bury is a leading supplier of flexible packaging solutions in the food, dairy, beverage, personal care, and household sectors. As one of 11 production facilities operating throughout Europe and North America under Clondalkin Group's Flexible Packaging Division, its range also includes printed laminates, stand up pouches, barrier films, and printed bundlewrap.
