Ron Sasine, principal of Hudson Windsor LLC and former senior director of packaging procurement at Walmart, will be delivering one of the keynote speeches this year on Tuesday, October 18, from 9:35-10:15 a.m. From 2009 to 2015, Ron served as Walmart’s Senior Director of Packaging, where he was responsible for packaging design, execution, and sourcing for the company’s largest global brands. He is experienced in creating a new visual look for more than 7,000 items, bringing a national brand design standard to the Great Value, Spring Valley, Equate Beauty, and Parents’ Choice brands. He also created first-of-its-kind supply chain visibility for the global packaging market and Walmart’s more than 5,000 packaging providers. And, he led Walmart’s sustainable packaging initiatives, reducing greenhouse gas impact by nearly 10%.

 

Ron’s background includes the role of a marketing and manufacturing executive with MeadWestvaco (now WestRock), where he led export sales of linerboard to Central America, directed international sales integration and business development, and served seven years as an expatriate heading up M&A for MeadWestvaco’s corrugated packaging and paperboard operations in Brazil and Latin America.

Ron’s vast experience and impressive background will make him an intriguing speaker for all attendees. He is a frequent commentator on the packaging industry and has been published in The New York Times, CNBC, and USAToday.
