NORPAC, Longview, Wash., USA, released a letter this past week to customers advising that the company plans to increase the price of 30 lb. (48.8 gsm.) standard newsprint by $20.00 per metric ton effective Feb. 1, 2016. Prices for other newsprint basis weights will increase proportionally and as per past practices.

This announcement is in addition to the $20.00 per metric ton increase the company announced on Nov. 5, 2015, for shipments starting Jan. 1, 2016.
