Control Systems 2016 at SPCI Convention Issues Call for Papers

The Control Systems conference is held every two years and is the preeminent conference in the area of process measurement and control and systems engineering for the pulp and paper industry. In 2016 the conference will be held at the same time and place as the SPCI 2016 Convention in Stockholm, Sweden. The venue for the 2016 event will be the Stockholm Waterfront Congress Centre.

The conference attracts presenters and attendees from all major pulp and paper producing countries, so this will be your best opportunity to network with experts from all around the world and to learn more about important ongoing work in the field. The conference will focus towards the practical use of new and emerging technologies and on research on the brink of implementation.

We encourage you to submit papers for the conference concerning relevant topics, such as:

Measurement and control of relevant industrial processes
Novel on-line sensors and sensing techniques
Methods and tools for improving energy efficiency
Process and control performance assessment
Operator decision support and augmentation systems
Production management and optimization
Process data analysis
Modeling and simulation
Measurement and control in biorefinery and bioenergy processes
Applications of Soft sensors and Multivariate statistics in process control.

We will consider technically sound papers on any topic concerning pulp and paper control systems and related subjects that can potentially benefit pulp and paper producers, with a specific focus on experiences from real mill implementations.

Authors interested in presenting a paper at the conference should submit an abstract by e-mail to Marina Asp by January 15, 2016
Notification of acceptance will be distributed by February 2016
The final full text manuscript must be provided by April 10 2016.

The submitted abstract should briefly describe the objectives, results, and conclusions on a maximum of two pages. If you have any questions, please e-mail Marina Asp.

The final scientific content, invited lectures, panels, and sessions for the conference will be developed with the assistance of the International Program Committee.
