Kapstone Paper and Packaging, Northbrook, Ill., USA, announced early this week that Roger W. Stone, the company's Chairman of the Board and CEO, is taking a leave of absence for health reasons. As a result of Stone’s absence, on Sunday (August 9), the Board of Directors appointed Matthew Kaplan, the company’s president and COO, as the interim Chairman and CEO.
Kaplan, 58, has served as President, COO, and director of the company since its inception in 2005.
