Centre Technique du Papier Appoints New President

At a meeting held in Paris, France, on April 23, 2015, François Vessière was appointed president of the Centre Technique Du Papier on the occasion of the renewal of its board of directors. Vessière takes over from Jérôme Grassin, who had taken on this role during two three‐year mandates and had many other responsibilities in the industry.

Vessière was VP of Copacel alongside Philippe Leydier, president of ATIP (Technical Association for the Paper Industry), and president of Grenoble INPPagora for several years. Throughout his career, he has occupied many general management positions in the pulp and papermaking industry in France and around the world.

Building on his executive experience acquired at Arjowiggins and Lecta, Vessière joined TOPS
Consult at the end of 2007 as associate director. He has conducted many consultancy assignments in the field of strategy, creation, and development of industrial and service companies. He also provides services to local authorities and is personally involved in the protection of heavy industry in France.

The Centre Technique Du Papier Board of Directors meeting was chaired by Christophe Lerouge, head of the Industrial department at the Directorate‐General for Companies in the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry, and Digital Services. In addition to the appointment of Vessière to the position of president, the board unanimously elected:
Through its R&D and operations aimed at transferring technological knowledge to industrial players, the CTP’s duty is to always be at the forefront of creativity and innovation in its field and to be attentive to its French and international clients’ needs to better serve their interests. This positioning was adopted several years ago and is still just as relevant today, the Centre Technique Du Papier emphasized.
