"Sustainable Solutions for Our Future" is the conference theme for the 2015 PEERS Conference (Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling, and Sustainability). Experts from throughout our industry are gathering to share their expertise and inspire us all. This year’s expert-led program includes a series of important and informative tracks including topics such as: Biorefinery, Nonwood, Pulping, Corrossion & Materials, Energy, Power & Recovery, Engineering and Maintenance, Environmentsl, Recycling, and Sustainability. The 2015 PEERS Conference will be held October 25-28, in Atlanta, Ga., USA.

2015 PEERS features our Keynote speaker, John D. Williams, CEO and President of Domtar.  Williams opens the 2015 Conference with his address titled Embracing Sustainability as a Business Framework to Enhance Long-Term Shareholder Value

The pulp and paper industry has undergone radical change over the past 100 years – from how we manage forests and source raw materials to technological advances in production technologies, to significantly lowering our environmental footprint, to achieving great success in recovering used paper products, to how we engage with stakeholders. While the industry and its partners have had great shared success, our performance as a whole has begun to plateau as the easy, low-hanging fruit has been achieved.

So how does the industry deliver sustainability improvements in the next 100 years in an environment that promises to be incrementally more costly, competitive, global, and resource-constrained? And how do we manage shareholder expectations to deliver results quarterly when sustainability requires a longer time?

Three special all-day workshops are also being offered prior to the start of the 2015 PEERS Conference. Each presents an opportunity to expand your knowledge and learn from our industry’s best:
It’s a conference you won’t want to miss! Please visit the PEERS website for current updates, opening of registration, and breaking news about the conference.

PEERS will be co-located with the International Bioenergy and Bioproducts Conference, creating a value-add opportunity for you to expand your learning, networking, and resources by attending both conferences.
