Learn the Latest on Nanocellulose-Based Materials for Antibacterial Packaging

Research is currently underway to discover the potential of nanocellulose in packaging materials like fiber-based materials or nanocomposites. Join TAPPI’s Nanotechnology Division for a Webinar at 11:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, June 3, as Dr. Julien Bras of the University of Genoble discusses the industrialization of nanocellulose and their uses in biobased materials for imparting active barrier properties such as antibacterials.

During the one hour webinar, Bras will explain how microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) will be used in the future to enhance barrier at high humidity with clay and oxidized nanocrystals. MFC coating of cellulosic substrates as controlled delivery systems of antibacterial molecules for food-packaging will also be presented.
