Sonoco Elects Wood VP of Industrial Europe

Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C., USA, has elected Adam Wood VP of Industrial Europe and a corporate officer by the company's board of directors. The appointment became effective August 1. 

Wood is responsible for the company's Sonoco-Alcore subsidiary, based in Brussels, Belgium, which operates 30 tube and core plants and five paperboard mills in Europe. Wood began his career with Sonoco in 2003 as European sales director. During the next 10 years he progressed through various positions of increasing responsibility, including serving as regional sales manager for the company's North America Industrial Products Division. Prior to this appointment, Wood was division VP and GM, Industrial Europe.

Wood holds a MBA degree from the Bradford University School of Management and was qualified by the Chartered Institute of Management. He reports to John Colyer, SVP, Global Industrial Products and Protective Solutions.
