Boxboard Output by U.S. Producers Slips Last Month
Total U.S. boxboard production in February decreased 1.3% compared with February 2013 and decreased 8% from last month, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) February 2014 U.S. Paperboard Report issued this past week. Unbleached kraft boxboard production in February decreased over the same month last year and decreased compared with January.
Total solid bleached boxboard and liner production decreased compared with February 2013 and decreased compared with last month. The production of recycled boxboard increased compared with February 2013, but decreased when compared with last month.
