Arne Asplund Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

The Arne Asplund Award Foundation (AAAF) is now accepting nominations of candidates to the Arne Asplund Award in mechanical pulping.The Award will be presented during the International Mechanical Pulping Conference in Helsinki, Finland in June of this year.

According to the Rules of the AAAF, the Award candidate – the Award receiver to be selected by a chosen selection committee – should have made an outstanding contribution, preferably during the preceding five years, to the research into and/or the industrial development of high yield pulping, i.e. mechanical or chemi-mechanical pulping, utilizing mechanical defibration techniques and/or new applications using high yield pulps. 

Nominations should contain a brief CV, motivation and the achievements of the candidates, and a list of publications. The nomination should be sent to: Göran Bengtsson, Chairman, Arne Asplund Mechanical Pulping Award Foundation no later than Feb. 15, 2014.
