Tetra Pak Receives DuPont Silver Anniversary Award for Packaging Innovation

Tetra Pak, Vernon Hills, Ill., USA, this past week received the first DuPont Silver Anniversary Award for Excellence in Continuing Innovation. The first-of-its-kind award honors winners of five or more previous DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation throughout the program's 25-year history. Tetra Pak has received five awards since 1995 for its carton packaging and processing technology.

The DuPont award marks the sixth for the company, and recognizes Tetra Pak's leadership demonstrated by investing over the long term on developing products and services that provide value to brands and consumers.

"Since the company's founding more than 60 years ago, Tetra Pak has constantly driven packaging innovation with a view to making food safe and available for people everywhere," said Michael Grosse, EVP of development and service operations at Tetra Pak. "We are delighted to receive this award from DuPont in recognition of our achievements. We are committed to remaining at the cutting edge of the industry."

According to Michael Zacka, president and CEO, Tetra Pak U.S. and Canada, "this award reinforces that our approach—working closely with our customers and collaboratively pushing innovation to the marketplace, where we not only respond to the needs of the changing consumer, but actually anticipate future ones—is the right approach."
