U.S. Recovered Paper Use up in May

Total U.S. industry consumption of recovered paper in May was 2.54 million tons, 3% higher than April 2012. Year-to-date consumption is 3% lower than during the same period last year, according to a recent AF&PA, Washington, D.C., USA, report.

U.S. exports of recovered paper dropped 11% in April compared with March, with decreases mainly seen in other mechanical and corrugated. Year-to-date exports of recovered paper in 2012 are 2% lower than during the same period in 2011.
