Domtar Sponsors 20th Annual Environmental Film Festival

Domtar Corp., Montreal, Que., Canada, has renewed its sponsorship of the Environmental Film Festival, the largest showcase of environmental film in the U.S. The 20th annual Environmental Film Festival will take place March 13 - 25 in Washington, D.C., featuring 180 engaging and thought-provoking films, including 93 world premieres from 42 countries.

This marks the second straight year that Domtar has sponsored the Environmental Film Festival, providing Cougar® paper - part of its EarthChoice® line of environmentally and socially responsible papers - for the printing of the festival programs. Domtar Cougar paper is certified to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

"Once again, the Environmental Film Festival has lined up meaningful work from some of the leading environmental filmmakers, helping us focus on the environment and the ways we can work together to manage natural resources," said Lewis Fix, Domtar's VP of Sustainable Business and Brand Management. "That's a message that is vital to us at Domtar, and we're pleased to be supporting this important event."

Films are screened at partnering museums, embassies, libraries, universities, and local theaters. Selected to provide fresh perspectives on global environmental issues, most films are accompanied by discussions with film makers, environmental experts, and special guests, including national decision makers and thought leaders, and are free to the public.
