U.S. Kraft Paper Shipments Increase

Total U.S kraft paper shipments in April were 129,900 tons, an increase of 2.0% compared with April 2010, but down 7.2% compared with March 2011, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) April 2011 Kraft Paper Sector Report released this week. Total inventory was 73,000 tons.

Additional key findings from the report include:

Total unbleached kraft shipments increased over the same month last year
Total bleached kraft shipments were up compared with April 2010.
