Sonoco Ups Price of URB, Tubes, Cores

Sonoco, Hartsville, S.C., USA, is increasing the price for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard by $50 per ton and by 5% to 8% for tubes and cores, effective with shipments beginning June 6. The company noted that the price changes are necessary due to higher base raw materials, chemicals, repair materials, and freight costs.

Sonoco, founded in 1899, is a $4.1 billion global manufacturer of consumer and industrial packaging products and a provider of packaging services, with more than 300 operations in 34 countries serving customers in some 85 nations.
