Tervakoski to Shutter Cigarette Paper Machine

Tervakoski, Finland, part of the Delfortgroup of Austria, reportedly will retire one of its five paper machines. PM 4, which produces cigarette paper, will be shuttered this year, resulting in the loss of 56 jobs at the mill. The mill's five machines have a combined annual capacity of more than100,000 metric tons of specialty papers. In addition to ThinPrint papers, the mill also produces paper for tobacco-related products, releasebasepaper, cable paper, and watermarked specialties. Its primary production focus is coated ThinPrint papers, and it also produces some hand-made papers.
