Marcal Makes Holiday Donation to Princeton Young Achievers

Marcal Manufacturing CEO Tim Spring this week donated an assortment of arts and crafts kits and supplies to the Princeton Young Achievers Program. "With times being tough," Spring notes that Marcal, located in Elmwood Park, N.J., USA, has made an extra effort this year to make sure that its philanthropic philosophy is still being carried out. Earlier this year the company donated truckloads of its 100% recycled paper products to charities in the Southwest U.S.

Princeton Young Achievers (PYA) is an after-school program that helps 100 children from lower-income families improve their school performance. Princeton students meet at three neighborhood centers for homework support, enriching activities, one-on-one tutoring, literacy support, and special activities. "The PYA located right here in Princeton does an exceptional job of educating and caring for children from lower-income families," Spring said. "I hope that this donation will make the holidays brighter for these kids in need. It is important to remember that Christmas is about giving, not shopping." This year Marcal re-launched its line of 100% recycled paper products that it has been manufacturing for more than 50 years under the name Marcal Small Steps.
