Arctic Paper Acquires Grycksbo Mill in Sweden

Arctic Paper, Sweden, has agreed to acquire the Grycksbo Paper mill in Sweden from the investment fund Accent Equity 2003. Arctic Paper will acquire 100% of the shares of Grycksbo Paper Holding AB, the sole owner of Grycksbo Paper. The total consideration, including cash payment and the issue of shares to Accent Equity, is SEK 590 – 640 million. The transfer of shares is set for March 1. The acquisition will boost Artic's capacity to 800,000-plus metric tpy. The company operates three paper mills in Kostrzyn, Poland, Munkedal, Sweden, and Mochenwangen, Germany. Grycksbo, located in the Dalecarlia region of Sweden, has a production capacity of 260,000 metric tpy of coated paper.
