One-hundred-and-sixty was the number of abstracts chosen for presentation (out of more than 300 submitted) at TAPPI’s 2019 International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials (TAPPI Nano) in Chiba, Japan.

Make sure you are considered for inclusion in the 2020 TAPPI International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials by submitting your 300-word (or shorter) abstract today. Abstracts are due 13 December. Now is the time for your knowledge to make an impact on the future of cellulose nanomaterials.

This premier event addresses the latest technical developments and applications of renewable nanomaterials. While primarily focused on cellulose nanomaterials, submissions regarding other nano bio-based materials are highly encouraged.

The organizers of this year’s conference are also requesting abstract submissions in two additional focus areas:

  • Novel solutions for packaging and beyond (replacement of single-use plastics)
  • Consideration for end-of-life, LCA, recycling, biodegradation

All submissions are peer reviewed by TAPPI’s Nano Division Research Subcommittees and conference co-chairs:

  • Dr. Orlando Rojas, Aalto University, Finland
  • De. Heli Kangas, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd., Finland
  • Dr. Gilberto Siqueira, EMPA, Switzerland

Students are invited to submit oral presentations and posters and are eligible to earn grants to cover partial travel expenses, discounted registration rates, and other subsidies. All student abstracts will be reviewed by a group appointed by the Technical Program Committee.

Submit title and 300-word (or shorter) abstract via TAPPI’s Speaker Management System by 13 December.

The International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials will be held 8-11 June 2020 in Helsinki, Finland.
