RISE has purchased 60 percent of the shares in MoRe Research. The agreement, which was signed October 23rd, further strengthens RISE’s position as Sweden’s industrial research hub and as one of the largest bioeconomy market actors in Europe.

The operations of MoRe Research are primarily focused on research, analysis and industry-aligned development for customers in the paper, pulp and biorefinery industries. Industry-funded projects are the focal point of MoRe’s business, but in recent years the company has also established research operations with PhD students, researchers and publicly funded research projects.

RISE has worked closely with MoRe for a long time, including joint use and ownership of premises, pilots and equipment. Both parties see great benefits from the transaction since they can further strengthen their offering to customers.

“Our vision is to make the Norrland coast a world-class center of knowledge, research, development and upscaling in the paper, pulp and biorefinery industries. With its industry-aligned operations, MoRe is a highly qualified company that supplements our business excellently,” says Pia Sandvik.
