TAPPI is holding its highly regarded Tissue 101: Properties and Processes Course on September 30 – October 1.  This two-day introductory course is co-located with TissueCon 2019.

The Added Bonus

This foundational course is the building block for much of the featured technologies and innovative tissue concepts that will be showcased at TissueCon 2019, which directly follows the course beginning October 1.

You can register for the course here and also register for TissueCon in addition to the two-day training.

The curriculum is designed by tissue industry experts to expand your understanding of tissue properties and manufacturing processes so that you can help improve tissue performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Bringing your entire team may be most advantageous for this training opportunity because the curriculum can benefit anyone in tissue making.  Whether you are new to the industry, just took on a new role in operations, or a seasoned pro looking to refresh your knowledge in the latest technology, lingo and practices, the Course Schedule offers you a firm foundation for moving ahead.

You will learn:

  • How the tissue machine affects structure and properties
  • The difference between soft, ultra-premium and conventional products
  • The theory and structure behind different tissue products
  • The effect of fiber
  • Chemical additives and how they are used

The instructors for this course will discuss basic raw materials and physical property relationships to develop an appreciation of the trade-offs made in designing a tissue product for a specific application.

You’ll learn about each major unit operation of the tissue making process and later be able to describe key engineering relationships and their effect on final tissue product properties.

Register now before seating capacity is reached.
