Erhardt+Leimer Seeks Corrugated Technical Sales Professional

Erhardt+Leimer Inc. is searching for a Corrugated Technical Sales Professional for its Duncan, South Carolina, USA location. The Corrugated Technical Sales Professional will be responsible for managing regular and prospective customers.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders
  • Recommend products to customers based on customers' needs and interests
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery date
  • Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
  • Provide customers with product samples and catalogs
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
  • Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs
  • Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales
  • Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, logging customer visit reports, and filing expense account reports
  • Compensation will consist of a base salary plus commission
  • Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by management as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years Technical Sales experience, 50-70 % travel
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic devices, motors, motor control, inverter drives, sensors, and cameras
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Computer literate (Windows, Microsoft, Lotus Notes)
  • Self-motivated, ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering would be preferred or Bachelor’s degree in business administration with technical sales experience or equivalent combination of education and business/technical work experience.

The company is based in Duncan, SC but position will have territories in the Mid West and Northeastern US.
