Keynotes Address Growing Advanced Textile Market at NETInc 2019

On May 5-8, 2019, nonwovens professionals and academics from around the world will gather at NETInc 2019 (Innovative Nonwovens Conference) Indianapolis, IN, USA, to share and discuss new technologies, best practices and key issues affecting the industry. Attendees will hear experts present their latest findings during the peer-reviewed technical program as well as have the opportunity to attend keynote presentations from two industry leaders on the impact of advanced textiles on nonwovens.

 

Amit Kapoor, president and CEO of First Line Technology and chair of the Advanced Textile Products Division, Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI), will present "Nonwovens and Advanced Textiles Innovations to Commercialization Pathway." His presentation will provide insight into how textile products have gone from the lab to lifesaving tools and are being used by first responders and the military to protect lives from harsh deadly environments. Attendees will hear about textile innovation milestone within the commercialization process as well as learn lessons from past successes and failures and how to rebound from those failures.

 

Andrew Aho, vice president of New Business Development at Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) will present "Advanced Textiles with Nonwovens in the U.S. Market." Attendees will get a definition of the U.S. Advanced Textile (AT) market and the key market segments within it including: performance clothing, composites, protective clothing, coatings, and smart fabrics/textiles. Andrew will also share his insight into the state of the U.S. AT market, the percentage breakout of market segment shares in the AT market, market growth, trends, opportunities, threats, the direction of nanofiber applications in nonwovens, and a market outlook.
