The global fluff pulp market is expected to continue its growth in the coming years into the early 2020s due to an increasing aging population, more use and access to products by the female population (feminine products accounted for largest share of fluff pulp use at 39% in 2017), growth in the global use of disposable diapers for babies, more use of incontinence products for adults (linked to aging population), and overall a global rise in disposable income allowing for the purchase of more single use hygienic products made from fluff pulp and/or airlaid papers.

This week 1 Market Research (Rockville, Mary., USA) published their brand new market report titled Global Airlaid Paper Market Growth 2019-2024. Airlaid paper is defined as a textile-like material catagorized as a nonwoven fabric made from fluff pulp. It accounts for the most common use of fluff pulp in the industry.

North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific accounted for more than 93% of global consumption of airlaid papers in 2017.

According to this most recent study, over the next five years, airlaid will register a 2.8% CAGR in terms of revenue. The global market size will reach approx. $1.46 billion by 2024, up from $1.23 billion in 2019. This growth is projected to continue the current trend for the most part. Airlaid paper production increased from 434.2 KMT in 2017 to 459.8 KMT in 2018.
