UMaine Cellulose Nanomaterials Research Forum Student Soiree

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

TAPPI's OTW would like to reach out to some of our student subscribers with news about important events that might be relevant to your career! This student meet-and-greet is an opportunity for students to network among researchers on campus. It is also an opportunity for university and community friends to see the breadth of student research focused on these renewable nanomaterials.

When and where?
Thursday, February 21, 2019 (One week from now!)
4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M.
Wells Conference Center- Room 2
University of Maine, Orono, Maine

The PDC is proud to host this informal poster session featuring UMaine students working with cellulose nanomaterials. Students across the UMaine campus are exploring new applications and functionalities with these materials, and this event offers students a chance to meet and share experiences with other students outside of their department and college.

For posters, students are using a simplified format, not the more traditional posters typically found at conferences. This simplified style was selected to minimize the time commitment in preparing a poster. The objective for this event is for students to build cross-campus connections.

This event is open to the public, so please stop by if you are in the area and also learn about the many new applications that UMaine researchers are investigating.

Many thanks to the UMaine Pulp & Paper Foundation for supporting this event by offering prizes to poster presenters.

For more information on this event, please contact Pros Bennett at (207) 581-2281 or pbennett@maine.edu.
