Planning to attend TAPPI’s 2019 International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials,3-7 June 2019 in Chiba, Japan? Registration is now open, and you can save big with early bird rates.

TAPPI Nano 2019 will once again feature the popular End Users Panel with speakers from companies using or investigating the use of cellulose nanomaterials in their products. Last year’s panel featured speakers from 3M, Ford Motor Company, Kimberly-Clark and Cabot. In addition to its usual diverse selection of research and presentation subjects, TAPPI Nano 2019 will also include a focus on three special topics:

·Automotive and Other Manufacturing Processes

·Additive Manufacturing

·Lignin and Hemicellulose Nanomaterials

According to TAPPI Nanotechnology Division Chair Robert J. Moon, Ph.D., materials research engineer with the USDA Forest Products, this year’s call for papers resulted in a record-breaking, 300-plus submissions covering a host of timely and relevant nano topics. Many, he said, discuss technical advancements in production or use of renewable nanomaterials, from industrial or pilot scale production to industrial applications and end uses.

In 2018, 96% of surveyed attendees agreed the conference equipped them with practical knowledge applicable in the workplace, as well as superb networking opportunities. With TAPPI Nano 2019 located in Asia, those networking opportunities will expand to include leading researchers, scientists and business professionals largely from outside Europe and the Americas.

Early bird ends 1 May 2019. Register today for the premierinternational conference dedicated to the production and use of nanotechnology for renewable nanomaterials.

TAPPI Nano 2019 is Co-located with NCF

As an added benefit, TAPPI’s Nano 2019 is co-located with the Nanocellulose Forum’s (NCF) Nanocellulose Exhibition in TAPPI Nano.

NCF was established in June 2014 with the mission to accelerate research and development, industrialization and standardization of cellulose nanofibrils and cellulose nanocrystals. NCF conducts activities for technology transfers, sample transfers, and exploration of new business opportunities. They are supported by one of Japan’s largest public research organizations, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST).
