Welch Packaging Acquires Central Kentucky Corrugated Services

Lake State eTradeWire (Elkhart, Ind., USA) provided details of a deal during mid-Nov. that completed earlier in the fall (Sept. 24, 2018). Welch Packaging, a multi-site family owned business concentrated in the Midwest, has acquired Central Kentucky Corrugated Specialists (CKCS), a corrugated box manufacturer located in Mount Sterling, Ky., USA. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The partnership expands Welch Packaging's geographic service area in Kentucky.  With operations located in six Midwestern states, this acquisition reinforces Welch's commitment to growth.

CKCS and Welch Packaging are both family-owned businesses and meet customer needs through a focus on service, quality and providing cost-effective corrugated products. "CKCS has a solid reputation with customers as a provider of corrugated boxes and services. With strong customer relations and timely delivery of product, CKCS has earned the trust of their customers," stated Scott Welch, CEO of Welch Packaging.  "We look forward to supporting CKCS' future growth through the application of Welch resources and management processes."
