BASF Appoints New Division Leaders

The Board of Executive Directors of BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany) has announced (Sept. 2018) the following personnel changes:

Fried-Walter Münstermann, president of Procurement at BASF, will assume responsibility for the "Task Force Process Simplification" effective Jan. 1, 2019. He will be succeeded by Stefano Pigozzi, president, Monomers, BASF.

At the same time Kenneth T. Lane, president, Catalysts, BASF Corp. (NA), Iselin, N.J., USA, will assume responsibility for the Monomers division. The Monomers division’s headquarters will be transferred from Ludwigshafen to Waterloo, Belgium, in the course of 2019.

Peter Schuhmacher, president, Process Research & Chemical Engineering, BASF, will assume responsibility for the Catalyst division on Dec. 1, 2019. He will be succeeded by Detlef Kratz, currently SVP, Corporate Technology & Operational Excellence, BASF.
