SCA Increases Prices on Publication Paper

SCA (Sweden) this morning (May 3) announced the company would increase prices on coated publication paper, CMR , and improved uncoated publication paper by EUR 40 per metric ton.
"We see a substantially stronger demand for publication paper," said Ulf Edman, VP Sales and Marketing - Publication Paper.
The new prices are valid for all deliveries from July 1 of this year.
The current core of SCA's business pricing strategy, according to this news release, is in the forest. As of today, SCA accesses 2.6 million hectares in northern Sweden. Around these resources, the company boasts that they've developed a value chain based on renewable raw material from their own own and others' forests.
