BillerudKorsnäs, Sweden, this week made changes to its senior management structure, in effect ending the role of Executive Vice President. Christer Simrén who currently holds the position will thus be leaving the company.

The decision was made based on the fact that the company is in a phase where short and clear decision chains are required to deliver on set targets.

"Christer Simrén has made significant contributions as EVP of BillerudKorsnäs since the merger of Billerud and Korsnäs in 2012. He has been crucial in our work for laying the foundation for the major investments in the future that are currently underway. We thank Christer for his efforts and wish him good luck in the future," said Petra Einarsson, president and CEO of BillerudKorsnäs.
