Kotkamills Oy, Finland, has launched the AEGLE™ Barrier Light, an ideal packaging material, for example, for the needs of large fast-food chains. The products are also suited for short-term packaging of other greasy food-to-go products where a barrier is required. The new product launch occurred at the Packaging Innovations event in the U.K., this past week.

Kotkamills’ ISLA™ range of food service boards and AEGLE range of folding boxboards represents the next generation of opportunities for premium packaging – brand owners, converters, and designers alike, the company noted.

The new AEGLE range of cartonboards represents the next generation of opportunities to support sustainable packaging solutions without compromising quality or the freedom to create unique designs. AEGLE options are suitable for a wide range of end uses: for food and non-food; for ambient, chilled and frozen meals; for fast food, confectionery and pharmaceuticals; and for premium packaging for cosmetics and luxury drinks.

The raw materials for all of Kotkamills’ board products are procured from certified Nordic forests. The high-quality board products are made from natural, pure, and strong fiber, making them durable and safe to use.
