U.S Containerboard Output up Slightly in January

Production was up 0.7% compared with January 2017, and month-over-month average daily production compared with December 2017 was 2.9 % lower. 

U.S. containerboard production was up 0.7% compared with January 2017, according to the AF&PA (Washington, D.C., USA) January 2018 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report The month-over-month average daily production compared with December 2017 was 2.9 % lower. 

The containerboard operating rate was 97.2%, or 2.2 percentage points higher than January 2017. Production for exports was 10.5% lower than January 2017, which was the month with the second highest export volume in 2017.
