Boise Paper, Lake Forest, Ill., USA, a division of Packaging Corp. of America, has announced that its ASPEN® line of multi-use recycled copy papers recently earned Green Seal® certification under its GS-7 Printing and Writing Paper Standard, one of the most rigorous environmental certifications in the industry.

Green Seal’s thorough review and on-site audit has verified that ASPEN recycled papers conserve natural resources and protect human and environmental health while delivering the performance customers expect. Specifically, ASPEN recycled papers contain a significant percentage of post-consumer materials, are processed without chlorine, and contain minimal heavy metals.

Formulated for exceptional run-ability in all home, office, and high-speed print equipment, ASPEN multi-use recycled copy papers feature the same characteristics and brightness as non-recycled sheets. They are performance certified by the Buyer’s Laboratory, Inc., and 99.99% Jam-Free® guaranteed.

ASPEN multi-use recycled copy paper is manufactured with 30%, 50%, or 100% post-consumer recycled content, which makes it easy to find the right paper to meet environmental sustainability goals. More information about the full line is available online.

Boise Paper manufactures a full line of papers including imaging papers for the office and home, printing and converting papers, and papers used in packaging, such as label and release papers. Green Seal®, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989, is a premier ecolabel, symbolizing transparency, integrity, and environmental leadership. Its flagship program develops life-cycle-based environmental standards, and certifies products and services that meet these standards. Green Seal standards cover 450 categories – from janitorial supplies, paints, and windows to hotels and restaurants – and are specified by 23 states and countless institutions. Green Seal’s science-based programs help manufacturers, purchasers, and consumers to make improvements that are beneficial to human health, the environment, and the marketplace.
