TAPPI Nano 2018 Abstract Deadline is Tomorrow

Don't miss the chance to present your latest technical development or application at the International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials. Submit title and 300-word (or shorter) abstract via TAPPI’s Speaker Management System by tomorrow, December 1
 
Due to the large number of submissions received, the organizers cannot guarantee acceptance of abstracts received after the deadline.
 
Topics considered for 2018’s theme, "Cellulose Materials – Solutions for Industry Applications," are:
 
Industrial Production and Use: 
  • ndustrial and Pilot Scale Production
  • Industrial Applications/End Uses
Technical Presentations on New Research Findings in:
  • Characterization and Metrology from the Lab to Production Plant
  • Mediated Assembly
  • Composite Processing and Testing
  • Paper and Packaging
  • Functional Materials and Soft Matter
  • Biomedical Applications
  • Nanocellulose Electronics, Photonics and Energy Technologies 
  • Product Stewardship and Safety
NEW for 2018:
  • Automotive & Other Manufacturing Processing
  • Ligno- and Hemi-Nanocellullose Materials.
Students are invited to submit oral presentations and posters and are eligible to earn grants to cover partial travel expenses, discounted registration rates, and other subsidies. All student abstracts will be reviewed by a group appointed by the Technical Program Committee.  

All submissions are peer reviewed by the Nano Division Research Subcommittees and conference co-chairs: 
  • Alan Rudie, USDA Forest Products Laboratory
  • Satoshi Hirata, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology
  • Maria Soledad Peresin, Auburn University.
The International Conference on Nanotechnology for Renewable Materials will be held June 11–14, 2018, in Madison, Wis., USA, and will be co-located for the first time with the Forest Products Society’s 72nd International Convention.
