U.S. BHK Pulp Imports Decline

U.S. BHK (bleached hardwood kraft) pulp imports were down 7.2% y/y in September, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census. U.S. BHK pulp imports were 4.8% lower y/y through the first nine months of 2017.

The following table shows both BHK and BSK (bleached softwood kraft) U.S. pulp imports for 2016 vs. 2017 for the first nine months (through September) of 2017, from key regions of the world.
