Allnorth Americas, Vancouver, B.C., Canada, a leading engineering and technical services company, this week announced that Jay Miele has been named VP of Operations. A 30-year veteran of the pulp and paper sector, Miele will lead the operational expansion of Allnorth Americas from a new office in Alpharetta, Ga.

"Allnorth’s strength comes from a deep focus on delighting our clients with solutions provided by our engaged team" said Darby Kreitz, Allnorth’s CEO. "Jay understands Allnorth’s unique culture and mission of delivering strategic engineering services to the pulp and paper sector. He is a superb leader and I am thrilled he will be bringing his experience and talent to this new critical role."

Miele brings broad international experience in the pulp and paper sector and he was recently the VP and GM for Andritz Fiber Technologies Division in the U.S.

"Allnorth played a key role in assisting a Northwest paper company with revolutionizing its manufacturing processes and technologies. Following their pulping and bleaching upgrades, the facility is now one of the most economically viable, energy efficient, and environmentally sustainable pulp mills," said Miele. "I want to build on this momentum and provide innovative solutions to new markets and new clients. I am proud to have joined a team that is a proven leader in optimizing pulping processes, in engineering and design, project management, and advanced process-simulation."

Miele earned a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine, and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. He will assume his new role immediately.
