Kemira Changes Management Board

Kemira, Finland, reports that Dr. Heidi Fagerholm, CTO and a member of the Kemira Management Board, will leave Kemira to take up the position of head of advanced technologies at the PM-Performance Materials division of Merck KGaA. She will be based in Darmstadt, Germany. 

Fagerholm will continue in her current position and as a member of Kemira's Management Board until the end of October 2017, latest. Kemira has started the process of finding a successor to lead its global R&D and Technology function, including more than 250 scientists and professionals in three global R&D centers in Espoo, Finland, Atlanta, Ga., USA, and Shanghai, China.

"I want to thank Heidi for continuously bringing new innovations and new sustainable technologies to our valued customers. Kemira has more than quadrupled its innovation sales during Heidi's tenure. I wish her best of success with her new challenges," said Kemira President and CEO Jari Rosendal.

Kemira is a global chemicals company serving customers in water intensive industries. Its focus is on pulp and paper, oil and gas, and water treatment. In 2016, Kemira had annual revenue of around EUR 2.4 billion and 4,800 employees.
