Ashland Increases Price of All Resins, Gelcoats in North America

Ashland, Dublin, Ohio, USA, will increase the price of its complete portfolio of unsaturated polyester resins, epoxy vinyl ester resins, and gelcoats in North America by $0.09/lb. effective Sept. 18, 2017, or as contracts allow.

This increase is primarily driven by continued escalation of costs in key raw materials and freight, exacerbated by the recent disruption to the North American chemical industry by Hurricane Harvey. Ashland reports that it continues to work diligently to ensure supply, service its customers, and provide the "utmost quality and performance."

Ashland Global Holdings Inc. is a global specialty chemicals company serving customers in a wide range of consumer and industrial markets, including adhesives, architectural coatings, automotive, construction, energy, food and beverage, personal care, and pharmaceutical. The company has nearly 7,000 employees—from scientists and research chemists to engineers and plant operators—serving customers in more than 100 countries.
