Greycon Optimizes Polímeros y Derivados Planning Capability

Greycon, U.K., was recently appointed by Polímeros y Derivados (PyDSA), Mexico, to implement that company’s premier advanced scheduling planning system, opt-Studio. PyDSA is a producer of nonwovens products. 

The overall production capacity at PyDSA has increased in recent years as the business keeps growing. This means it required an improved planning and monitoring process to optimise the efficiency of the operations and gain better visibility across all the production lines. 

Leví Cortizas, project manager at Greycon, said that "we are very pleased with the work we completed at PyDSA and the relationship we were able to forge with the client. Greycon’s opt-Studio will bring multiple benefits to PyDSA, including increased visibility on materials constraints and requirements, reduced trim waste, and faster and more accurate response to sudden changes in demand. The first phase of the project has been successfully completed, on-time and on-budget, with very positive feedback from Polímeros planning team."

PyDSA is currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics as the new ERP. The implementation of opt-Studio designed for the nonwovens industry and integrated with the ERP will support the production efficiency and visibility objectives.
