Rex Woodville-Price passed away last month (July 2017) at home in Panama with his family by his side.

Rex was a career-long figure in the global corrugated industry. Following graduation from the University of Missouri with a B.S. degree in Agricultural Mechanization and Agronomy, he joined the maintenance department of the Armuelles Box Plant in Panama. He worked with Chiquita, Goettsch International, and Interfic Inc. before joining HarperLove on June 1, 2000.

Rex was often sought out by box plants to address their most challenging production and quality issues, and he authored many technical articles for the industry’s trade magazines. He was inquisitive and didn’t take things at face value. If you asked him about something that he didn’t know, it wasn’t surprising for him to go home and immediately launch a prolonged inquiry, friends point out.

Alan Clark, HarperLove CEO, said that "we were all very fortunate to have known Rex, to have learned from him, to have laughed with him, and to have served customers with him. Rex will be dearly missed. For all of us, I hope that time eases the pain of losing him while we forever keep the memories of the many great moments we shared with him."

Rex had many talents. He was said to be one of those people who quickly evaluated your understanding of making corrugated board, and then sought to round out and enhance your skills and knowledge. While some tend to hoard or impress with their knowledge, Rex preferred to aid and assist, to teach, and train. It was his passion and it was a passion that benefited so many.

Rex is survived by his wife, Esther, and his adult children, Tilcia and Rex Jr.
