U.S. BSK/BHK Pulp Exports Decline in First Half of 2017

U.S. BSK (bleached softwood kraft) pulp (includes fluff pulp) exports were down 3.4% y/y through the first half of 2017, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Census. However, BSK pulp exports to Mexico during the same period were down 16.4%.

The table below shows U.S BSK and BHK (bleached hardwood kraft) pulp imports for June 2017 and for the first six months of the year, to key world areas. The following graph charts monthly BSK pulp exports from 2008 through June 2017.
