China BHK Pulp Imports Rise 56.4% in June, up 37% in First Half of 2017

China’s BHK (bleached hardwood kraft) pulp imports were up 56.4% y/y in June 2017, according to the China Customs Bureau. The country’s BHK imports increased 37% through the first half 2017. China’s BSK (bleached softwood kraft) imports were up 7.4% ytd.
 
The following table lists China’s BSK and BHK pulp imports for June 2017 and through the first half of the year. The graph below shows the country’s monthly imports of paper and dissolving grades of pulp from 2007 through June 2017.
