PMT to Rebuild Varaka PM 2 in Turkey

Varaka Kagit Sanayi AS, a member of the Albayrak Group, Turkey, has selected PMT, Italy, for the technological sections of the rebuild of its 7.1 meter wide PM 2 in Balikesir, Turkey.
The machine, originally producing newsprint and machine finished coated in Spain, will be converted to produce 1,100 metric tpd of test liner and white top liner at a target speed of 1,200 m/min..
Ahmet Taşcı (GM of Varaka), David Dostal (chairman of the board of PAPCEL), and Valter Canelli, sales director of PMT, signed the contract that includes a ĘGO™FLX SHOE and a ĘGO STREAM S.
This is the first capital project of the new PMT S.R.L., former PMT Italia S.p.A., just two weeks after the acquisition by PAPCEL, a.s., Czech Republic. This is an important step for the whole PAPCEL Group, but in particular for PMT, demonstrating how the market was waiting for the new PMT, the company noted.
PMT is still operating in Pinerolo, Turin–Italy, where its employees have been working before under the name of Beloit Italia and later as PMT Italia.
