Ence, Spain, has announced a price rise of $50/metric ton for its bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp, setting its list price at $900/metric ton in Q3. The increase will be implemented in progressive steps—July 1, 2017 ($15), Aug.1, 2017 (additional $15), and Sept. 1, 2017 (additional $20).

The market outlook for bleached hardwood kraft pulp globally remains positive with strong demand in all of the markets, while inventories continue trending down and the supply is under stress, Ence notes.
